I was tring to work on plywood made with polyuretane glue and fiberglass. 

the aim was to make my summer board.......polyuretane is a very flexible glue due to the foaming process of oxygen  catalysis

the shape is a modifed version (shorter) of the '80 Corey Obrien by Santacruz ( the reaper)

I had no idea about what to put as graphic..so i asked my littel son Tom (4 years to make a drawing) he asked: "what is my painting area?" i said "make it big"

impressing!  he did directly with black marker, little sister is assinting him...

than we added toghter the withe paint...the final result reminded me of some Jeff Grosso meet Lance Mountain...

Fuzz is a must! and you have to have one cool! no dubt!  

My friend Marco and I started this winter a prototipe based on dallas arbiter germanium fuzz.

actually Marco did a very good job in matching the transitors, germanium is very temperamental   . He also did this killer design for the box.

WOOKIE boards for hairy rebels

this project started from the idea to make a backup for my vintage hang ten skateboard. the shape is similar but i also used as reference some other vintage italian fiberglass and plastic boards I have. I preferred to craft it in 3 ply bamboo. An easy project completly flat but with a very classic design. It is equipeed sith vintage skate trucks and weels. and than what about the name?? Inspired to BEAR , Bear is a brand made after John Milius Big Wednesday, Bear before all is a character of a movie, so what about crazy idea of Chewbacca..and that week we went to Valient Thorr show and that was inspiring for HAIRY REBELS! that's it enjoy

SATAN COUPCAKES (the artwork)

i loved the idea of the reversing name of NATAS, natas satan worshipper deck is genius!!, so i decided to make a parody of the Jim Phillips Panther artwork- replacing the feline for a devil!

Once I read in an old interview, on italian XXX board magazine back in late 88, Natas said he loved to have apple pie with vanilla icecream before skateing at night..so the idea of having someting sweet like cake...and keep on playin with words KAUPAS-> CUPCAKES but with the idea of a blast..did you remenber the NATAS BOOM? so better to say COUPCAKES!!!...that's it!

When i was young, back in 90, i started thinking about making my own skateboard.....than after more than 20 years..im here on the project.I decided to design a board inspired to the NATAS KAUPAS panther of 89, i had it..i think it was one of the best board i ever had.Unfotunatley it got lost because n those years i used to repaint all the deck I rided and to make my artworks, so it was stoled douring and art exposition at my high school.

Lets start!!! ....at first i had to design concave and shape! than i had to think about a mold!!I studied the concave and tail design on Santacruz decks from 86 to 89 and than i decided to make mix of them creating hybrid. I worked on 3d model and than when was ready I had to prepare parts for cutting and assebling the PRE-MOLD,The pre mold was made of light wood and had to be the mold for the press mold that would be casted in concrete.

I casted the concrete using a lot of streght renforcements, iron bars, iron nets, big frame fiberglass nets.

than i had to cast the second part of the mold, in the same way. I painted the first part of mold just to allow the concrete to be separated easy.

and what to put inside mold???? at last i thought to press 5 ply of maple and 3 of fiberglass...experiments...i used hight flow epoxy just to be shure to wet allthe wood.

after 24 h i cutted the shape and sanded the countours..

....than paint job! and than be prepared for artwork!! I just hope no one steal it again
